Always stuck in a rut!!

Pandora is great most of the time but it often gets stuck in a rut. It happens most often if I give a song a "thumbs up" I am guaranteed to hear very similar music for the next few hours even if I am listening to a wide variety mix station. Even if I skip perfectly good songs that all sound alike. Pandora never catches a clue. I have to thumb down a perfectly good track just to try and make it skip out of the rut. SHUTTING OFF THE APP works better. Sometimes I dont turn it back on. Is that what you and your advertisers want, Pandora?
